"Exceptional Experience!"
Our stay in the Hotel Light was absolutely wonderful! From the second we stepped in the door, the staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Our room was nice - comfortable beds for me and my wife and a sofa bed for the kids. The best thing was how clean the room was - one of the best we have seen in Europe. It was an absolute oasis after a painful 10 hour drive from Romania.
The restaurant in the hotel had a very extensive menu and everything we had was excellent (try the Roquefort & fruit salad). It was also very reasonably priced. Again, excellent service - the waiter even brought an ice bucket for my beer when I was concentrating more on the entree (it almost brought tears to my eyes)!
The neighborhood looks a little shady when you first see the place, but I had absolutely no worries when my family and I were walking home at night. It is a 5 minute walk from all the main sights and there is a small 24-hour grocery store on the corner - very convenient.
We had only planned on one night in Sofia, but this place was so nice, we stayed there twice!
