"No. 1 in Sofia !"
Visiting Sofia for business on a regularly basis I have got experience with many facilities in the city. Radisson is the best choice, you will meet Radisson standard, which is not always the rule in Eastern Europe. The rooms, services, food - everything is very sophisticated and 1A quality. The atmosphere is homelike, the staff helpful and polite. Even the location is very good, in the heart of the city, on a very safe spot.

"Really very good!"
A really excellent base for doing business in Sofia. The free airport transfer makes arrival and departure stress free. The rooms are generally comfortable, well equipped, and even the front facing ones are relatively quiet. One of the best breakfast buffets I have every had is served in the Irish Pub which becomes very lively in the evening. When the weather is warm, there is a very nice terrace outside the pub. Staff are efficient and friendly. Room rates in line with what one would expect to pay, but remember there is 20% tax on top!

"great people, best service"
The location and facilities are superb, although a bit dated designs in some public areas. What made our stay really overwhelming was the competeny, friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. There is a difference between trained smiles and genuine service, and I found it there. Welcome to EU, where many tired service folks could learn from you.

"Best place in Sofia, the Radisson Grand Hotel!"
The most convenient hotel in downtown Sofia. Rooms on the front side look out over the Parliament Square and at Konstantin Jovanovic's Parliament Building (recently floodlit). The sweeping view includes Alexander Nevesky Cathedral and the National Gallery of Foreign Art. Rooms on the upper floors on the back look towards Mount Vitosha, especially handsome when still covered in snow. The current hotel is a great change from the socialist era establishment and even then it was pretty good. Now the food is fine, and the service has proved to be what you'de expect from an SAS hotel. Within walking distance of downtown and most museums, the opera, several historic churches, and other sites of interest and for business. Handy to the airport.

"Great hotel, fascinating country"
We stayed at the Radisson SAS Grand in May 2005 and thought it was an excellent hotel. We were in a business class room that was very large by European standards and well appointed with lovely wood closets and marble bathroom with excellent amenities. The food was superb. Breakfast was included and it was one of the best and most extensive buffets I've ever enjoyed. The location, opposite the Alexander Nevsky cathedral in the old part of town, was ideal to see the sights of a city and country that is rapidly changing. The staff were extremely helpful and the city was fascinating (if you haven't been, go!). As in any country where smoking is commonplace, make sure you ask for a non-smoking room if it is important to you.

"Great city, great hotel"
I have stayed at the Radisson twice while on short business trips. I really enjoyed my stay both times and will definitely be back. The rooms are very comfortable, bathrooms fabulous, a decent range of English language t.v. stations which was such a treat coming from Athens where there is only one. I wasn't overly impressed with the breakfast buffet but the cocktails in the 'Irish' bar were fab.

"Great place"
I have stayed here twice for business trips, and would definitely return. Location is great, being between the airport and the centre of town, but you can walk anywhere in town very easily. I was upgraded to a business suite, and had lovely views of the Nevsky cathedral, as well as a very spacious, comfortable set of rooms. Airconditioning was adjustable and well powered, essential for July when it was hot. On my first trip, I was in a a regular double room, and it was also spacious and well appointed.
Breakfast buffet was fine, had everything I needed, and it is convenient to have the restaurants on site if you do not want to venture out. Only one gripe - cost of calls from the room is extortionate - much cheaper and easier to get a phone card.
Staff all speak English, and are very friendly and helpful.
